IMPORTANT STATEMENT FROM THE BOARD OF EDUCATION:
The Worcester County Board of Education remains committed to the safety and security of our students and staff. While we have already publicly addressed the recommendations and presentations by our law enforcement officials, we recognize that this continued public debate on school safety is not conducive to restoring the partnership between our entities, and it stands to further incite fear in our students.
To that end, the Board and Superintendent of Schools has extended an open invitation to the Worcester County Sheriff and Chief Deputy to meet with the Superintendent and Chief Safety and Academic Officer to discuss the execution of our Memorandum of Understanding and how we can best move forward for the betterment of our schools.

Super proud of these hardworking student athletes! 🔥
Congratulations to our individual wrestling #StateChamps! The Maryland State Championship Tournament capped off another amazing season for Decatur Wrestlling. This year has been full of challenges and adversity from day one of the season as injuries and sickness swept through the team. Our kids battled through a tough dual and tournament schedule. Along with our team state championship we had 3 individual champions crowned on Saturday night. Along with 2 runners up we had 2 wrestler place 4th and one 6th. Our girls team finished tied for 4th in the team standings with only 5 of the 14 weights scoring on the tournament. I couldn’t be more proud of how both our boys and girls performed this season.

Our Annual Beach Supply Drive for Believe in Tomorrow's House By the Sea begins next week, March 11 - April 19.

Let’s show them there’s no place like the beach.

Many thanks to Advisor Mary Hathaway for setting up this wonderful opportunity for many of our Worcester County Public Schools MD students.
