Our hearts are heavy at this time as we mourn the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Mrs. Sara Thompson. Mrs. Thompson was a longtime Worcester County Public Schools MD Board of Education member, past President of the Board of Education, a standout member of the Town of Berlin Maryland, and a substitute teacher, member of the second graduating class, and one of the biggest cheerleaders at Stephen Decatur High School. We are proud to announce that after its annual inspection, the Stephen Decatur High School NJROTC earned the highest of praise. The inspector was very pleased and commented, “Decatur is the best NNDCC (Navy National Defense Cadet Corps) I have seen yet.”
