Government students, and additional volunteers, joined the Town of Ocean City - Government and the Surfrider Foundation - Ocean City Maryland Chapter to mark storm drains in the Montego Bay community with a very important environmental message- “No Dumping. Drains to Ocean.”

Painting the storm drains is one component of the town’s Green Team Adopt-A-Storm-Drain Program.
Stephen Decatur High School is a Maryland Green School 💚. In addition to this partnership, our students run robust recycling and composting programs, along with several other ‘green’ initiatives.

British literature students take on the Big 🍎
Students in English teacher Christie Moore’s British Literature classes had the opportunity to attend the Broadway hit musical Beetlejuice this week, with the end goal of comparing modern Gothic motifs and dramatic features between the play and Mary Shelley’s Gothic novel Frankenstein.

The Student Government Association is hosting their annual Canned Food Drive next week from November 10th to the 14th.
They'd love to collect as much food as they can to help those in need in our community. Please spread the word!! Donations will be picked up during 1st period on Monday, Thursday, and Friday next week. Canned veggies, fruit, soup, beans, pasta & peanut butter are especially needed!

⚽️Boys Soccer will be hosting a State Quarterfinal vs. Towson on Saturday at 1:00 PM. Admission is $8.00 (cash only).
🏐Volleyball will be traveling to Severna Park on Saturday for a Region Semifinal game, starting at 11:00 AM.
