Congratulations to our Stephen Decatur High School Teacher of the Year, Megan Seyler! 🎉
We are incredibly proud to celebrate Ms.Seyler—a 13-year veteran English teacher whose dedication to students goes far beyond the classroom. She serves our community tirelessly as an After School Academy and Summer Academy instructor, provides tutorial support for all subjects, and lends her expertise on the Maryland State Department of Education’s Teacher Advisory Council.
Her impact has reached the national stage as well, as she was featured by the Center for American Progress as a teacher of inclusion, helping celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Act and advocating for equity and opportunity for all learners.
Perhaps what makes this honor even more special is that Ms. Seyler is a graduate of our school. Her journey is a powerful example of service, leadership, and excellence, and we could not be more proud to call her one of our own. 💙🖤🤍
